About Us

Our mission is to formulate advanced hair care products with an emphasis on plant based and organic ingredients that can transcend our minds and bodies as much as our hair. Our formulations focus on ingredients that place emphasis on health, wellness and high performance. In order to achieve this, we have combined the benefits of science and nature to create a harmony, making our formulations extremely effective without the use of harmful ingredients.

Beaute & B (Beauty and B) was founded by Shauna, a Registered Nurse residing in New York. Keeping up with a full time job and the daily stressors in the middle of a pandemic, Shauna found solace in formulating hair products that would give her time to focus more on self care and self love. Previously, wash days had been stressful occasions that would literally end with her tearing her hair out. Though, she had been formulating for a few years, the emphasis was on function. However, as the world around her changed, it became important to transform a once tedious experience into a calming ritual. Through that, an idea was born. What if wash days could become more like a spa day? Thus began the process of formulating products to enhance that experience.

The spirit of wash day began to change and a ritual was born. Products were now being formulated with ingredients that focused more on invigorating the spirit, relaxing the body, while also being an effective hair care product. We source ingredients from all over the world to bring life to the lush creations that our hair will benefit from years to come.

Being a black owned company, an emphasis is placed on sourcing ingredients that have strong ties to black roots or the greater BIPOC experience. Ingredients that have been a part of our history and ritual for a very long time. The research of these ingredients is never ending. The extensive benefits they bring will continue to be discovered for years to come. 

The first products being launched will be a Scalp Nourishing Oil and our Hair Growth Serum, featuring clinically tested ingredients.
